CE Requirements

What are my CE Requirements on my initial application for licensure?

LAWS & RULES COURSE: Completed an 8-hour Florida laws and rules course from a board approved provider. ACE is an approved provider

HIV/AIDS COURSE: Completed a 3-hour HIV/AIDS course from a board approved provider,. ACE is an approved provider

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE COURSE: Completed a 2-hour domestic violence course from a board approved provider within six months of licensure. The certificate of completion is retained with your records. Do not submit to the Board Office with your application. ACE is an approved provider.

What are my CE Requirements for Renewal of my License?

GENERAL HOURS

25 hours

ETHICS AND BOUNDERIES OR TELEHEALTH

3 hours

Either course can be taken in alternating biennial renewal periods.

MEDICAL ERRORS

2 hours

Must be taken from a Board approved Medical Errors provider. Approved courses are listed in CEBroker

LAWS AND RULES

3 hours

These hours are required every third biennium and are included in the 25 hours

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

2 hours

These hours are required every third biennium and are included in the 25 general hours.

QUALIFIED SUPERVISOR TRAINING (coming soon)

4 hours

These hours are required every third biennium for Qualified Supervisors only and are included in the 25 general hours.

First Biennium Renewal: Practitioners initially licensed and renewing a license for the first time are exempt from completing continuation education
